Subject to Change
Sienna Maeba’s exhibition, Subject to Change, is an homage to the home, through the exploration of the domestic spaces we occupy daily. Through the process of layering, collecting, intertwining colours and images found in our homes, the possibilities of creating a narrative are vast. These personal elements are translated into illustrations and specific colour palettes that are curated into textile works that communicate a story. A story that opens up questions about how we feel in an intimate space, and challenges our feelings of freedom, personal identity, control and safety we are all seeking within the personal spaces we occupy day-to-day.
