Habiliment Ware / 2019

A collection pictured for anyone who is constantly transitioning from studio to the outside world. Creating almost a uniform that is comfortable, protecting, familiar, and versatile for all elements of work and weather.  While creating a visual statement using form and function. Habiliment Ware is inspired by ceramic vessels, home ware, and ceramic wares, as well as stuffed elements. The collection was made using 100% linen, canvas, and 100% cotton. All textiles were hand printed and dyed by Sienna Maeba. 

 The collections mood is to be interpreted by the person wearing the garments, giving each piece its own energy and personalty. In the studio environment, the clothing choices make sense for the challenges and the day ahead. But as soon as the clothing is put in another setting outside of the studio or work place, they may feel displaced, and uncomfortable. This can change the wearers self confidence and leaves them feeling vulnerable, and out of place.

The idea is to create a well loved and worn in silhouette that will emit a strong sense of individual character and confidence for easy transition from studio space to outside world.
